Every time I have send something in the mail I notice that the price of the stamp has increased. I don't ship many things thanks to online bill pay. I had a book of stamps from a year ago. In order to use them I have o buy the little add on stamps. It is beginning to be a pain. The USPS announced that they will raise the price yet again one whole penny. A process that used to take a year can now take only 45 days due to new laws made in 2006. As long as the price is a reflection of inflation it is ok to raise. The price for ads in the mail also went up. Hopefully this will stop some ads from stuffing my mailbox daily. Before you know it the USPS will grasp email and start charging for that as well.

It's crazy how prices can keep going up and up. My mom always tells me how she used to remember when stamps were 10 cents and gas was always less than one dollar a gallon. Prices are already expensive as it is, so it makes me wonder how much more they are going to go up by the time we have kids.
With the new technology surrounding out society, the means of communication have definitely changed since the past. Although mail will always be a method of communication, the rising price to send mail has definitely turned customers away. As these prices continue to rise, I just see more people turning to alternatives, such as emailing or phone conversations. Hopefully they will stop soon!
The more we use internet communications the more the prices of stamps and these type of things will go up. They aren't making as much as they used to. Think of the last time you sent a letter. Probably a long time ago when you weren't so computer savy. But why complain when you only use it mabye once every 3 months.
