This article, even though it harps on the same things you read in every other energy topic, presents the facts in a well written way. A good thing about the article that isn't like others is that it is focused on one energy company in Baton Rouge, Entergy. It goes on to say that energy bills for the usual customer of Entergy, all 152,000 of them, will have a ten percent increase in energy bill. It gives the reason for this is because Entergy relies heavily on natural gas. It says that the Public Service Commission has been pushing for new energy sources and then goes on to tell ways to save energy. As I said previously the article was well written, and I can't think of anything to add to it except other ways of new energy that Entergy could use.

From the summary you wrote this sounds like a well written article. Its important to present facts in an easy to read format for readers when writing such a common article. Most of the articles that I've seen on this subject are poorly written and don't flow very well.
This article seems very informative and interesting to people in the Baton Rouge, LA area. It is important to have articles presented toward a certain group of people.
I like how this article uses a Baton Rouge company, making the article distinctly relative to those who read it. I think this was easily comprehended making it more informative and effective. I think that it is important to aim your aarticles at a targeted audience, and i think this article does exactly that.
I agree with Michael that having the article relate to a Baton Rouge energy company definitely increases the appeal of the article to the readers. It was also beneficial that the author gave examples of how to save energy; it provides a simple solution normal people can do to try and keep their energy costs down. This again increases the appeal of the article to its audience.
I really liked your post and the article chosen. I'm no tree hugger, but i really wish people(particularly the government), would realize that we cannot depend on oil. Yes there are incentives they give to people and utility companies going "green". But why do we rely on something that is so costly to refine and produce, when there to me seems to be so much free energy. The sun is pretty reliable(it's come up everyday of my life) for solar energy. Rivers will continue to flow till God knows when for hydroelectricity. And the earth can't help its got so much liquid hot magma for geothermal vents. Excellent topic and great blog. None of us would ever buy something for ourselves we will never use, so don't pay for electricity to power all your stuff when your not home. I'm not worried about our enviroment as much as how senseless it is to waste money.
