This article is about the excessive number of fatalities that have occurred in pedestrian and bicycle accidents on highways. The article explains precautions that can be taken to help prevent the accidents from happening. The author of this article does not seem to have done a lot of research on this issue. The facts that were presented seem to be basically just common sense statements. Things such as bicyclists should use caution when crossing the road. The article included some things about not consuming alcohol while riding a bike. I thought this point was good, but the article was pretty boring. There is nothing about this article that made me want to keep reading it. This article does not seem like something that should have been published by a newspaper rather it seems it is something that a high school wrote for a class assignment.

There seems to be a lot of articles nowadays written by people with points to make but no idea how to present the points. If there is no new information and it is a reminder to have common sense, I feel like it is a complete waste of time.
It makes me glad that we're in this class to present my arguements better than this person.
The author definitely could have jazzed up this article. Some examples of people getting hurt while riding a bicycle or even some kind of statistic would have made the article much more interesting. I think the author could have done a better job; it makes me wonder why would you send something into a paper if you obviously did not put much time, thought or effort into it!
The author seems to be like just restating the obvious. I could see how this article would be boring and loose attention. Using a personal story may have made it more interesting.
